Find out by joining our multi – media feature Whale Hunt Presentation audience and experience what this perilous profession was really like as your museum interpreter welcomes you aboard.
Gallery Tours: Want to know what our Museum has for you to see? Many guided tours are offered daily, from a comprehensive overview of the highlights of our collections to in – depth examinations of specific exhibits. Alternatively, you can roam our spacious halls on your own and discover the many treasures that we cherish.
The Essex Gam: This program harkens back to the oral history traditions of Nantucket’s past. Step back in time as you listen to the story of the ill – fated whaleship Essex as it is told to you by our thrilling story tellers.
Bones of History Film: This award – winning short documentary film recreates the story of our iconic whale skeleton and the trials and tribulations that brought it here to become the focal point of our Whaling Museum.
