Miss Elma Loines died in 1983 at age 100. Born in Brooklyn and a graduate of Bryn Mawr, Loines spent many summers on Nantucket. In 1959 Loines gave an 8 inch Alvan Clark telescope to the Maria Mitchell Association. Read more from January 17, 1983
