CD Release Concert with Susan Berman at the Whaling Museum

Susan Berman CD ReleaseNANTUCKET, MA – The Nantucket Historical Association (NHA) is pleased to present a special concert with Nantucket singer and songwriter, Susan J. Berman. On Friday May 4, at 6:30 p.m. Berman will showcase music from her new CD, Nantucket Girl, at the Whaling Museum. With 12 original songs, Nantucket Girl traverses history and life’s poetic mysteries. The concert will also include sea shanties and songs Susan has yet to record. Susan will be joined by local musicians Evan Schawnfelder, Angela Rae Sheare, Barbara Elder, and her longtime musical partner, Ray K. Saunders, on lead guitar and vocals.

SusanBerman Nantucket Girl CoverSusan’s musical inspirations come from a variety of sources including Nantucket’s rich history. Her work as a historic interpreter with the NHA has provided her with a deep connection and understanding of Nantucket history.

Tickets for this event are available for purchase for $10 and free for NHA members.

The Nantucket Historical Association preserves and interprets the history of Nantucket through its programs, collections, and properties, in order to promote the island’s significance and foster an appreciation of it among all audiences.
