Painting Historic Nantucket: Plein Air Watercolor Demo at the Hadwen House Garden with Frank Costantino

Join artist Frank Costantino for a free painting demonstration in the Hadwen House Garden, 96 Main Street Nantucket.  See Nantucket come alive through an artists eyes as he demonstrates how he captures the essence of the landscape and architecture.

This class is a collaboration with the Artist Association of Nantucket.

Frank is a signature member of the New England Watercolor Society, the North East Watercolor Society, and NY’s Salmagundi Club, some of the oldest art societies in the country, as well many other art groups.  Frank has conducted numerous workshops all over the US. He is inspired by the effortless, masterful works of watercolorists from many eras and cultures – Sargent, Homer, Turner, Prendergast, Wyeth, Hiroshi, and Zorn – and has developed his versatile painting style from notable contemporaries. Frank is a Co-Founder of the Plein Air Vermont Competition, a national artists’ event, and an invited demo artist and instructor at the Plein Air magazine’s Conference and Expo. He has also been a selected artist and instructor to participate in plein-air events around the country. His work has been featured in Plein Air & Fine Art Connoisseur, and the June 2017 issue of Cape Cod Life magazines.

The mission of the Nantucket Historical Association is to tell the inspiring stories of Nantucket through its collections, programs, and properties.
