For centuries hand embroidery has been both a functional skill and a creative art.
In this class students will work on their personal interpretation of a design created solely for the class. Each student will be given an “inked” linen, stretcher bars and tacks. Students will supply your own threads, and beads, making each piece completely unique.
Class meetings will have the flavor of a gam or stitch-along. Topics of discussion will be design, color, and texture. Students are expected to have strong knowledge of a variety of stitches. Reference books will be available during class. Cherry octagon boxes are available to finish your piece if desired.
Maximum class size: 6
