Beginner Youth Basket Weaving with DecArts Instructor

The NHA reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment or instructor emergency and will automatically provide refunds for these. Otherwise, payments for class registrations are non-refundable. Travel and accommodation expenses are the sole responsibility of the enrollee.

Learn to weave a lightship basket! It’s never too early to begin a lifetime practice of this Nantucket tradition. Students will weave a pencil holder in the tradition of the Nantucket basket. As students continue to weave in future sessions, other techniques will be added as they advance in the weaving process.

This session for first-time weavers 9 and older and is free, thanks to the generous support of the Nantucket Golf Club Foundation.

This class is for beginning youth weavers’ ages 9 and older.  Class is held after school starting at 2:45 pm – 4:30 pm.
