Modern Pointed Pen Calligraphy with Liz Roessler

Have an upcoming wedding or special event that needs a handmade touch?  This calligraphy approach will help you make beautiful envelopes, table signs, and menus or improve your own skills.

During this workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of the meditative art of pointed pen calligraphy in an inspirational, educational, and fun way. The easy-to-understand instruction is focused on everything you need to get started and enjoy calligraphy: how to properly hold and use a dip pen with acrylic ink, setting up your workspace, healthy ergonomics, patient and personal instruction, and focused, specific goals for your practice and project work following class. Liz will guide students through practicing a complete alphabet and give clear recommendations on how to apply their skills to creating lettering art.

We will review all the best pro tips and tools and unique ways to use your new calligraphy skills, inspiring demonstrations, and Q&A.

All materials are included for the workshop and for you to continue your writing practice.

Maximum class size: 10
