In the Nantucket basket weaving tradition, this useful shape is perfect as a wine coaster, candy dish, or catch-all basket.  This basket is ideal for the beginner or novice weaver, as you will learn the basics of this popular tradition. This basket is finished with a scrimshaw disc inset into the cherry base and a matching cherry-turned rim.
