Nature Printmaking Exploration with Bee Shay

Join us to explore multiple printing techniques that don’t require big expensive equipment and can be done at your kitchen table.  Learn to use botanicals, stencils anad carved stamps to make prints and simple books. 

These classes are all stand alone but can also be taken for a week of exploration into the world of printing with nature.

Bee Shay has been a folk artist and oil painter for almost thirty years, teaching theorem painting, stenciling, and faux finishes nationally since 1991. She has apprenticed under members of the Historical Society of Early American Decoration. For nearly ten years she was involved in the Stencil Artisans League, Inc. (SALI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching and furthering traditional American folk art. Currently, Bee is a resident of Nantucket and continues teaching nationally.

The Nantucket Historical Association preserves and interprets the history of Nantucket through its programs, collections, and properties, in order to promote the island’s significance and foster an appreciation of it among all audiences.
