Jan Munro is an internationally recognized folk artist whose work is included in many major collections and museums, including the Smithsonian, New York State Historical Association, and Sotheby’s. The Nantucket Whaling Museum is privileged to have had Jan and Charlie Munro contribute a mural on a wall in the Discovery Room.
The Nantucket Historical Association preserves and interprets the history of Nantucket through its programs, collections, and properties, in order to promote the island’s significance and foster an appreciation of it among all audiences.
