Marcia Brown has headed the needlework finishing firm, The Binding Stitch, for 35 years and has worked with most of the leading needlework designers in the US, creating design prototypes for the needlework market. She has been a teacher for national needlework venues for 17 years and until 2005 was a contributing editor for the Historic Needlework Guild publication, FINE LINES. In addition to her recent publication, Distinctive Presentations in Needle Art, a complete teaching guide to needle art finishing, she has developed a video teaching series that has allowed her to share her love for the field of finishing with hundreds of stitchers worldwide. Recently, Marcia has focused her efforts towards the design needs of her students and shop accounts by creating shop models and specialty teaching pieces.
