The Nantucket Historical Association (NHA) has promoted Miranda Dale to manager of visitor operations and added one new staff member.
Dale, a Nantucket native, graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in English and religious studies. She joined the NHA three years ago as an interpreter in the visitor operations department. Upon the retirements of long-time mangers Peggi Godwin and Maria Grause, Dale stepped up and will be responsible for visitor and interpretive services across the NHA campus.
Yakabu is assistant archivist. She received her master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Washington in 2020. She worked at UW’s Pacific Northwest Collection and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. She manages the digitization and transcription programs.
