NHA Hosts the 4th Annual Flower Power Party

NANTUCKET, MA – The Nantucket Historical Association (NHA) is excited to host the 4th Annual Flower Power Party on Friday, April 22, 2022, 6–8:30 p.m., at the Whaling Museum.

The Flower Power Party kicks off the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce’s 46th Annual Daffodil Festival weekend and transforms the Whaling Museum into a festive spring celebration. Enjoy a look at new exhibitions around the museum, music and dancing, hors d’oeuvres by Island Kitchen, a silent auction, and, of course, the coveted prizes for the “best blooming” outfits.

“We are excited to bring back this fun spring celebration for our fourth year and help kick-off the return of an island staple, Daffodil Festival. The Flower Power Party is a perfect way for the community to jump-start their spring and discover what’s new at the Whaling Museum,” says Ashley Santos, NHA Associate Director of Marketing.

The NHA will continue to monitor covid trends to ensure the safety of event attendees is of utmost importance. If the environment is not safe to host an event, the NHA will cancel and refund all ticket purchases.

Special thanks to N Magazine and the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce for their co-sponsorship and support, as well as Handy & Dallaire Events, Island Kitchen, James Lydon, Sons & Daughters, Lilly Pulitzer, and Love Child.

The Flower Power Party benefits the Nantucket Historical Association. Tickets are on sale at NHA.org starting Thursday, February 17, or call (508) 228-1894.

The Nantucket Historical Association preserves and interprets the history of Nantucket through its programs, collections, and properties, in order to promote the island’s significance and foster an appreciation of it among all audiences.
