Join expert instructors from Dharma Yoga Nantucket for a series of relaxing mornings at Greater Light, an NHA historic property at 8 Howard Street, featuring restorative yoga lessons for all skills levels. “After a sold-out series of classes last year, we are thrilled to bring yoga back to Greater Light in partnership with the NHA,” says Joann Burnham, cofounder of Dharma Yoga Nantucket. “Connect to your inner light and illuminate your practice in this very special sanctuary this spring!”
Originally a working livestock barn, Greater Light was transformed into a summer home and art studio in the 1930s by Gertrude and Hanna Monaghan, two Quaker sisters from Philadelphia. The garden of this historic property once served as a gathering spot for teas, a venue for parties and performances, and the perfect backdrop for summer visits with the family. Restored by the NHA, Greater Light reopened to the public in 2011.
Greater Light is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with very limited parking and vehicle access. Please plan to walk or bike to this program.
Space is limited and advanced registration is required. To register, visit www.nha.org/tickets or call (508) 228-1894.
