Biographical Information
Frank Morral was an English professor at Carleton College in Minnesota for forty-two years. He and his wife, Linda Backus Morral, later moved to Nantucket, Mass. He conducted research on the experiences of Nantucketers in the Civil War and in 2015, Morral published Hidden History of Nantucket with Barbara Ann White.
Scope and Content
The Frank Morral Research Materials on the Civil War collection contains research on individuals from Nantucket who were involved in the Civil War, monument and burial information, demographic statics, and information on battles. All of the material in this collection is a copy; there are no original documents. The material is primarily organized alphabetically.
