Summary

Galley Theatrical Lighting, started by Charles Galley and Sandra Galley, provided theatrical lighting equipment for rental to schools, community theaters, and professional companies. This collection includes receipts and invoices for lighting rental services and equipment, mainly for the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket and the Straight Wharf Theatre from 1969 to 1975. The collection also contains ephemera related to the Straight Wharf Theatre and the Theatre Workshop.

Galley Theatrical Lighting was started by Charles Galley and Sandra Galley in Andover, Mass. The company provided theatrical lighting equipment for rental to schools, community theaters, and professional companies. They worked with the Straight Wharf Theatre and the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket in Nantucket, Mass., in the 1970s.

Scope and Content

The collection includes receipts and invoices for lighting rental services and equipment, mainly for the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket and the Straight Wharf Theatre, as well as other Nantucket businesses. Also includes Straight Wharf Theatre 1969 season program, Theatre Workshop program for three one-act plays, and newspaper articles about the Straight Wharf Theatre and Theatre Workshops.
