Biographical Information
Reginald T. Fitz-Randolph (1884–1934) was a lawyer who came to Nantucket in 1910 to serve as trial justice for Nantucket County. He was appointed judge of the District Court for Nantucket County in 1918 when that court was created. He married Florence D. Holding of New York in about 1920; she died in 1922. They had one daughter, Regina. Fitz-Randolph also served as moderator of the Nantucket town meeting, and for a time as town counsel.
Scope and Content
This collection includes correspondence, receipts, deeds, land plats, wills, and other legal documents regarding Judge Reginald T. Fitz-Randolph’s cases and clients. There is a small file of Judge Fitz-Randolph’s personal correspondence and receipts included as well. Most of the collection retains the original file names with unfiled papers grouped by the first letter of the correspondent’s or client’s last name.
