Formed in the early 2000s, the Siasconset Historical Research Group began publically presenting their research on historical topics at the “’Sconset History Night” in 2008. This collection contains their research files, including typed manuscripts, notes, annotated newspaper clippings and photograph reproductions, and napkins.

In the early 2000s, Bob Felch and Paul Judy, residents of Siasconset, Mass., organized the Siasonset Historical Research Group to study and disseminate the village’s history. The group organized informally with the Nantucket Historical Association, and in affiliation with the ‘Sconset Trust, the Nantucket Preservation Trust, and On the Isle. In the summer of 2008, the Nantucket Historical Association ran the exhibit ‘Sconset 02564, whose success inspired the group to hold public presentations on their research. In August 2008, they held the first annual “’Sconset History Night” at the Siasconset Casino. In 2018 and 2019, Rob Benchley served as the Photo Editor for the group.
Scope and Content
Collection includes typed manuscripts, notes, event scripts, PowerPoint printouts, annotated newspaper clippings and photograph reproductions, and napkins.
