Maude Stumm

Maude Stumm (ca. 1870-1935) studied at the Art Students League with Kenyon Cox and Siddons Mowbray and achieved great success as a magazine illustrator. Active in the Nantucket art community in the 1930s, Stumm founded the Sidewalk Art Show in August 1930.

The Nantucket Historical Association preserves and interprets the history of Nantucket through its programs, collections, and properties, in order to promote the island’s significance and foster an appreciation of it among all audiences.
