We All Speak Moby-Dick

The 2nd Annual We All Speak Moby-Dick

“Call me Ishmael.”

Welcome to We All Speak Moby-Dick! For the past two years, the Nantucket community has celebrated our island’s shared history and diverse backgrounds through a multilingual reading of Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. This year, more than ever, it is important to come together in whatever way we can. Through collaboration with dozens of foreign-language-speaking community members, and our eight fantastic Nantucket High School interns, we are pleased to continue this new tradition through a digital reading. Scroll through our digital program to hear Moby-Dick read in different languages by our community partners, find international recipes, download kids craft activities, and more!
