Join us in the Discovery Room at the Whaling Museum for a daily children’s craft activity.
All Hands-on-History activities are free with museum admission.
We have fun, themed crafts for each day of the week!
Monday: Make collages and clay sculpture inspired by the Sara Roby exhibition.
Tuesday: Make train conductor hats and locomotives, inspired by the Nantucket Railroad.
Wednesday: Make your own “scrimshaw” tooth and whale charts.
Thursday: Make a souvenir Sailors Valentine and shell chimes.
Friday: Make signal flags and semaphore flags and learn how to send a message to a passing vessel!
Saturday: Make a model of a lighthouse.
Sunday: Make pinwheels and whirligigs, all things that spin.
