Members’ Evenings, The Gam

The Essex Gam relates the tragedy of the whaleship Essex, stove by a whale in 1820 in the Pacific Ocean, and of the ill-fated crew. This real-life story was the inspiration for Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick.

Held in person at the Whaling Museum for small groups of 10 members or less. Presentations will be in Gosnell Hall and socially distanced.  Please reserve your spot as space is limited. Additional Members’ Evenings will be added, if demand allows.
