Join us for a Museum-based experience focusing on connecting participants with our exhibitions and more during the long months of winter. Experiences include exploring art and history, yoga and meditation, decorative arts, and journaling at the Whaling Museum and NHA Historic Properties.
Born and raised on Nantucket, Chip Davis knows the island and much of its history well. He graduated from Nantucket High School in 1992 and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of New Hampshire in 1996 and 2000. After finishing his formal education, Chip continued to learn about the world and its diverse cultures by backpacking through most of Europe and following one of his lifelong passions, surfing, around the globe. For the last 20 years, Chip has taught 8th Grade English at the Cyrus Peirce Middle School and has given surf lessons during the summers. He recently earned his yoga certification and has been teaching a Gentle Men’s Yoga class at Supta Yoga Nantucket since the beginning of 2023.
