Nantucket Art Colony Exhibition Opening at Greater Light with Artists Association of Nantucket

Selected paintings representative of the Nantucket Art Colony of the 1920s and 1930s will be on display in this unique historic home. Curated by Michael R. Harrison, NHA Robyn & John Davis Chief Curator and Robert Frazier, AAN Curator of Exhibitionsm the show features artwork from the collections of both organizations.

Paintings by treasured Nantucket artists such as Tony Sarg and Frank Swift Chase, among others will be on view in the inspired and very fitting setting of Greater Light; once an artist studio and summer residence and currently part of the NHA’s collection of historic properties.

The Nantucket Historical Association preserves and interprets the history of Nantucket through its programs, collections, and properties, in order to promote the island’s significance and foster an appreciation of it among all audiences.
