Transcribe-A-Thon!

Grab your tablet or laptop and join us for our second Transcribe-A-Thon!

You’ll learn how to join the NHA Volunteer Transcription Program, get tips and guidelines for interpreting historic handwriting, and have the opportunity to practice transcribing with others.

This program will also feature show and tell with our Research Library team displaying some of the projects for participants to view in person.  As well as a pen and ink hands-on calligraphy station for all ages to enjoy!

Breakfast bites and refreshments will be offered!
REMEMBER to bring your own laptop or tabet to use.

Stay tuned for new projects being added weekly to the NHA’s crowdsourcing manuscript transcription service From the Page, leading up to the program.

Get started with these steps!

  1. Create a free account.

2. Take a look at our From the Page transcription projects.

3. Review our transcription guidelines. It’s easy!

4. Start transcribing!
